Capstan Group Services Ltd were appointed as the Principal Contractor by NHS Property Management to:

Supply & install forty-five FD30s sets;

Seal penetrations throughout;

Complete groundworks.
The works were completed certified under Capstan’s FIRAS accreditation.
Challenges: The project involved us working in a live hospital environment in occupied wards where dust control, good housekeeping and noise reduction were essential for the comfort of the patients.
The doors were painted with a factory applied finish to reduce making good and paint odours and due to the floors throughout the hospital being very uneven so we designed the doors with internal drop down seals to achieve the required smoke seal threshold.
The works were completed 10 days ahead of programme
