Capstan Group secured this apartment and
communal fire door replacement project in open tender for Savills property management.

This unique building on the Fitzrovia borders consists of 6 floors of pristine properties with Oak veneer doors. Our brief was to replace the doors only, as the existing frames were compliant, but the challenge was the colour of the replacements had to match the existing.

Using our supply chain partners we were able to colour match using the latest paint grade technology and had all of the doors spray finished off-site, uniquely matching oak veneer to the existing architrave and the internal face white.

This reduced the on-site decorating times to allow a door to be fitted and finished within a  day without having to return to make good

or decorate, thus reducing disruption to the tenants.

The communal doors were all replaced similarly, and delivered to the site ready to install with minimal site decoration necessary. We were also responsible for carrying out penetration sealing identified in the building's fire risk assessment.

The building received full sign-off by Building Control upon completion.
